The book “The Lovely Bones” was written by Alice Sebold.  It presents a story that a 14-years-old girl Susie Salmon is murdered by her next-door neighbor named Mr. Walker in suburban 1970’s Pennsylvania. Susie is always in the place between Heaven and Earth where she can observe and comment on the lives of her family and friends. Her body is never discovered and her parents suffer an unimaginable pain. The dramatically agony leads to the living of her mother. Her father continuous to probe and maintains contact with the police. From this process, Susie also watches the long list of victims by Walker. In the end, the murder gets punishment by God and her family becomes happy again. Susie also realizes that she should throw away all her past and began her new life.
The novel is told by the fresh and spirited voice of a little girl builds out of grief the most hopeful of stories. It presents about the love, memory, joy, heaven and healing.
