My favorite store is Vera Wang. This brand was created by Vera Ellen Wang who is an American fashion designer based in New York city. From the store window, you can see the beautiful wedding dresses clearly that are the dream of all the girls when they are young. Though it is the dim light inside, the wedding dresses are looking gorgeous. The delicacy is quietly revealed in every detail.

                                 Diesel
Diesel is my favorite brand and when I pass by one of Diesel store where is located in Market Street in downtown of San Francisco. I was attracted by the store windows. If you have been downtown of San Francisco, you would know that it was located at the corner of Market Street and Stockton Street. So it has three windows. There is nothing special on the north of the store but the clothes are put up. As the south of it are the watches and sunglasses. Through that clear and bright window, they exhibited so many different types of watches and sunglasses in a good order. Next to that watches and sunglasses display table, something special which are the helmets are display there. According to the staff who works here told me, that was the cooperation production by Ducati. The most attractive window is the corner of Diesel. It was similar with the other stores, there are some models that showing the typical stlye of Diesel. After what I said, you will pay more attention when you pass by Diesel which is my favorit store.

President's Day----Jessy

I want to move out of school next semester, so I looked on the Internet and found one that I really like. My friend and I went to the house together, all of us felt this house is very good, it's beautiful and big, and the most important is this is a new house. So we rented this house. I think we'll be very busy in next two weeks, because we should buy some furnitures to decorate our snug house. And the house owner told us as soon as we bought the furniture, we could move in! I think I will buy all things in this week. :)

On the president day, I got up at 9:30 and went out with three friends at around 10:30. At the

beginning, we went to the downtown. I needed to buy some running shoes and sport clothes because I

want to exercise everyday ( a beautiful wish). After that, we ate some delicious breads in the ground

floor in westfiled. I never try that store before though I have been to there many times. At the afternoon,

we took the funny and famous San Francisco tramcar to the final stop---the fisher bay. This was my

first time to take them, so I was very excited and happy. We saw many fresh and special things there.

Many people performed in the square. I also saw the animal shaped large breads. In the afternoon, we

have lunch?dinner in the crab house. I wanted to eat in this restaurant for a long time!

On President's Day, we went to the eat Crab House in Fisherman's Wharf. We seated near the window enjoying the delicious food and beautiful sights. That day is pretty well, I dramatically love the sunny weather in San Francisco.

President's Day

Presidents’ Day ---- Chen Qiu

I did nothing special at the presidents’ day but I finished the art assignment during the holiday, the picture is what I drew. It was really hard for me to draw this picture because I didn't learn any professional skills for it. So I followed the steps which I was taught at course and drew straight lines to separate the different parts in original pictures. I also separated the parts with lines on my drawing paper. I drew structure in every part so it was easier. It took me long time to paint it black, it should be pulled a lot strength at pencil which is very tired. After finished drawing, my wrist was sour but I felt satisfied because I tried my best to do it. I was pond of myself to be patient to finish a drawing which is complicated for me.

President's Day

On the President's day weekend, I've done so much interesting things.  I rented a Chevrolet Camaro but the standard one. I rented the car because I was so bored and wanted to see beautiful views.  I went to so many beautiful places and views around San Francisco.  I liked them, and I wish go again and again.  I enjoyed sitting on a rock up in the cliffs and looking at extremely pure lakes, where you can see wild gazelles, rabbits, eagles and other colorful birds in one place.  I wanted the relaxation, so I got it!!.

Presidents' Day Weekend_Kai_02/21/2013

On the Presidents' Day weekend, I did the same thing what I used to be. Presidents' Day was nothing but a day which we could have a good rest or did some homework. Today we had a quiz on Macroeconomics, so I spent a lot of time on preparing the quiz. However, I was not feeling well today. I realized that if I didn't prepare for it, I would hand in a blant paper. Besides that, the Essay 1 draft 2 was the most annoying homework to me, because I was always confused that what should I write in my essay and I was not sure if my essay was a good narrative essay. No matter what confused me, I finished it and got Prosfessor Peter's precious advice on Wednesday. Moreover, I got a bad day on Tuesday, I got a really bad headache and I had to have a rest at home. That was my Presidents' Day. There was a confusing, annoying, painful but normal short vacation.

Novel---Jessy

The novel I'd like to read in this semester is "The Great Gatsby". This book was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. It's a story about Gatsby's love and life. But this is a story with a sad ending, as you can see the woman in the picture is crying.

I watched this movie last semester, so I want to read this book. This is the picture of the movie "The Great Gatsby". And I've heard that there would be a new version of this film come out in this year by Leonardo Valencia. The following picture is a stage photo from new version "The Great Gatsby".  Do you want to watch it?

Animal Farm -----Chen QIU

My novel’s name is ‘animal farm’ which written by George Orwell who was born in Bengal. The novel is published in England in 1945. And it was my friend who recommended me to choose this novel and told me it was really creative and it was valuable to watch. And the novel tells about a farm which is managed by animals who live in the farm, and the novel describes the things happened in the farm during the managed time by themselves such as how to distribute the tasks and work efficiently. I think the novel use the animals to make complex situation easy to understand. And this is the comment from The New York Times for Animal Farm: A wise, compassionate, and illuminating fable for our times. And the novel is a masterpiece which was admired by many people as well.

The Synopsis of Novel_Kai_021213

Seven Years to Sin
"Seven Years to Sin" had been spent 9 weeks on both New York Times and USA

Today best seller lists, which is wrote by Sylvia Day.Honestly, what the novel

told is not my expectation. I just pay more attention about its title and it is

wrote by a famous author. The purpose of reading a novel is that we can practice

our reading speed, learn more vocabulary, recognize how to organize an essay or

study more from reading novel, especially for foreign students.

"Seven Years to Sin" mainly talk about Seven years ago, on the eve of her

wedding, Lady Jessica Sheffield witnessed a licentious scene no innocent

young miss could imagine. She married a stranger and had passions for this love

game and him who is the stranger. But through 7 years of serene, unremarkable

marriage, Caulfield’s image  remained burned into her imagination, fueling very

illicit dreams.
